Photo Essay: A Drive Through Sariska Forest Reserve

Standard

So you have been unlucky with a tiger safari booking or you are simply going to a destination which is via Sariska, here’s a cool tip ….. On Tuesday & Saturday one is allowed to take their own vehicle inside the reserve …… only clause that you will be going to the famous Pandupol Hanumanji Mandir or taking a detour from a check post inside that leads you outside the reserve from the other end. A nominal charge is there and strict ‘Dos and Don’ts’ to be followed. It also means that you will be off the tiger trek route followed by official vehicles.

Our destination being Bhangar Fort this choice of driving through the Sariska Forest Reserve rather than from the outside was a good one. The photo journey shared below will say it all! We drove first to Pandupol Mandir and then off to our destination.

A wonderful weekend getaway from Delhi NCR. So let not the ‘Sorry we are booked’ message dampen your spirit. The wilderness has much to offer and one has other places to explore as well 🙂

  1. last three pictures are super clicks! The peacock picture is pretty interesting composition. The 3rd last picture I believe is Tesu flowers in bloom -the one used for making gulaal (for playing holi) !
