Located 20 kms from Khajuraho, Raneh Falls is a naturally formed waterfall in river Ken. While crossing the Bijawar – Panna Hills the river Ken forms a beautiful ~60 kms long natural and deep canyon made of crystalline granite, quartz and dolomite. They give off lovely hues of pink, red, green and grey and are a sight to behold.
We had done this trip to Raneh Falls from Khajuraho somewhere in November and the pictures shared show the untamed natural beauty of the beautiful gorges. During and immediately after monsoon the gorges fill up and the place has a different view. Roaring river Ken flowing in full forces and many more waterfalls.
There is a lovely shop selling Panna Tiger Reserve products and some quick bites / refreshments. Others places to visit, besides Khajuraho, are Ken Ghariyal Sanctuary, Pandava Falls and Panna Tiger Reserve
