Panoramic view of Sunder Nursery Heritage Park, New Delhi, India

I managed a quick visit to the beautifully restored 16th century Sunder Nursery Heritage Park and now eagerly waiting for a pleasanter season to come so the I can explore it at leisure. Its a must visit for its fantastic landscaping, historical monuments that add an old world charm, rich flora and avifauna and much more. Originally known as Azim Bagh (built during the Mughal dynasty era) its adjacent to Humayan’s Tomb. The current 90 acres park is apparently part of the proposed 900 acres!! It is also the first ever arboretum in the capital city of Delhi.

All credit goes to the landscaping expert Mr. Mohammad Shaheer and the restoration project expert, the Aga Khan Trust for Culture for this nature’s haven.

The park is a boon for nature lovers and history buffs alike. If living in or visiting Delhi (NCR), do not miss this —- its a must see/visit. This post is mainly a pictorial one that will give you a glimpse of the delightful “Delhi’s Central Heritage Park“. Completely shot on my One Plus 3 mobile ……. the landscape views are brilliant naturally.
