At the first instance one may consider it as a type of water lily but they are not related at all.
They are fast-growing, perennial water plant with petals that have a feathery edge and an exotic name …… Water Snowflake.
Also known as Floating Hearts because of their heart-shaped leaves and कुमुदिनी Kumudini in Hindi
They are native to tropical areas across the globe that bloom in summer.
The plants can be extremely helpful in fighting recurring algae and due to its fast spreading nature they are considered as invasive species.
Here is some spiritual trivia about it, they signify ‘abundance‘ and are associated with the ‘crown chakra‘
