Similarities in “Nature”

The whole secret of the study of nature lies in learning how to use one’s eyes

“Mother Nature speaks in a language understood within the peaceful mind of the sincere observer.”

“The earth has it’s music for those who will listen.”

The Silk Floss trees are in bloom right now and needless to say they are a sight to behold. I am reminded of another eye catching flowering tree, the Red Silk Cotton tree.

I cannot help but note how similar the two are!

Both shed their leaves and the leaf(less) tree can be seen in full bloom with vibrantly colored flowers. While Silk floss does so in late autumn through winter, the Red Cotton Silk does so in late winter through spring.

Both have pod like fruits that burst open to reveal what looks like cotton or kapok. This lesser quality cotton from both trees are used as filling for pillows and like. The Red Silk Cotton fibrous filling is known as “semul” while that of Silk Floss is called “reshami ruee

Have you too noticed such similarities in “nature”?

Nature is man’s teacher. She unfolds her treasures to his search, unseals his eye, illumes his mind, and purifies his heart; an influence breathes from all the sights and sounds of her existence.

  1. Again a lovely post Monica. Nature is always astonishing and healing, there are many similarities and uniqueness all around. I have seen a few similar varieties in the wild but sadly do not remember the exact species to name it now.

  2. Nature truly is wonderful to behold. We moved into a house with hundreds of roses in the garden and each and every one has its own beauty!

We are part of the nature and if we don’t understand this connection we are completely fools!

You said it. We are all a part of nature and connected in various ways. We simply need to keep that connection alive and life will unfold magically.

Have a blissful week ahead Suzana! 💗❤❤
