Tryst with Sunset & Sunrise @ Jhalawar

The sky takes on shades of orange during sunrise and sunset,
the color that gives you hope that the sun will set only to rise again.

Sunset Jhalawar

On our trip to Jhalawar we decided to stay at RTDC Gavdi Talab. The property has an expansive green cover, nice setup and the most alluring of it all ……fantastic views of sunset and sunrise ❤

Though like most Tourism Rest Houses the rooms are basic but good enough for a restful sleep. The manager, Mr Meena, was an enthusiastic and a very helpful person. He helped arrange a driver and vehicle for us to take us around Jhalawar for half a day with a drop to the railway station. I did have a conversation with him about the well laid out property which was blessed with a wonderful location but upkeep needed a booster dose. Jhalawar is yet to make its mark on the tourist map hence a low footfall which meant it was not much a revenue generating place. This meant basic maintenance within the stipulated means. If we look at the place from this angle …… it is pretty well kept. I am sure this RTDC Tourits House would be a major hit once Jhalawar witnesses a tourism boom.

We had reached the place in the evening and in no time we realized that we were going to witness the supreme artist paint his evening canvas……

“Never waste any amount of time doing anything important
when there is a sunset outside that you should be sitting under!”

“Sunsets, like childhood, are viewed with wonder
not just because they are beautiful but because they are fleeting.”

Sunset Jhalawar

“Bursts of gold on lavender melting into saffron.
It’s the time of day when the sky looks like it has been spray-painted by a graffiti artist.”

Sunset Jhalawar

“Tell me the story about how the sun loved the moon so much he died every night to let her breathe.”

“To watch a sunset is to connect with the Divine.”

Sunset Jhalawar

“There is nothing more musical than a sunset.”

Sunset Jhalawar

“Sunset is so marvelous that even the sun watches it every day in the reflections in the water!”

This was not all! The morning brought with it a sun kissed sky ….. like a touch of rouge.  I was very happy to have chosen to stay at a place which was blessed with the pearls of nature!

“May every sunrise hold more promise, and every sunset hold more peace.”

Sunrise Jhalawar

“No sun outlasts its sunset, but will rise again and bring the dawn.”

Sunrise Jhalawar

“Someday, you will find the one, who will watch every sunrise with you until the sunset of your life.”

Sunrise Jhalawar

All this in a matter of 12 hours was more than we could have asked for from prakrti (nature) ….. And I must add that the unknown, unexplored gem Jhalawar is one of the most interesting destinations we have visited till now.
